Our laser room and shop are located in the Alta Vista area of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Our location is not retail, so coming by for a visit is welcome, but only by setting it up with us beforehand!

The Junction Gore brand was launched by Bill Congdon and Heather Jeffery in February 2019 when we received our new Laser. Heather is now the sole owner, and has over 12 years experience in woodworking, carpentry, graphic and industrial design, fabrication and having a great knack for coming up with creative and functional project solutions.

While we do not have a retail location, we welcome you to visit our laser room and shop located in the Alta Vista area of Ottawa, Ontario. We just ask you that you set it up with us first to make sure there is a time that works for everyone. Here we can not only discuss your project but also show you examples of our work.

Since we are not a retail store with regular hours, it alwasy best to contact us by phone, text or email to find a time that works best for everyone.

We use an Epilog M32 Fusion. It is Co2 based and has 60 Watts of power which can etch a wide variety of materials including uncoated metals, such as stainless steel, using a bonding spray. It can cut through materials such as wood, acrylic and leather, in some cases up to 3/8" thick. It will not however not cut through metals.

The bed of our Laser is 32" x 20", and can drop down to allow items up to 13" tall.

PDF or Adobe Illustrator (.AI ) are great. Other types that we can work with are high quality .JPG or .PNG (black and white preferred), .SVG or .EPS

If you would like us to prep your file for you, we can do that no problem! If you would like to create the file yourself, we recommend using 100% black fill ( 100C 100M 100Y 100K, or 0R 0B 0G) for etching, and a stroke thinkness of 0.001" (or 0.072 pt) for cutting. Yes, absolutely. Our highly experienced in-house design team has the creative and technical skills to turn your vision into digital reality.

Our standard turnaround is 3-5 business days, however factors such as availability of materials required and volume ordered may alter the lead time. We will always be clear as to what can be expected. We can also potentially handle rush orders!

If you are looking for one of our pre-set bundles or catalog items, please fill in the order form at the bottom of each product page. For custom orders, please send us an email at connect@junctiongorelaser.com or click the "submit a custom request" button. Provide all the information you have regarding your project: basic idea, size, quantity, materials (providing or not?), if you have the design/artwork ready, and we can generate an estimate for you.

In order for us to answer this question, we would need to start with the following about your project: - the quantity - the size - the material involved and whether you would be supplying it or not - any special finishes required - would you be supplying the digital artwork and/or would design work need to be done. With this information we can provide you an estimate, or if more info is required we will open up a dialogue with you to obtain all the details.

For projects we will provide a free estimate of the total cost. However if you are looking for straight service only with appropriate digital file and materials supplied, the base rates are $1.75/minute of laser time ($105/hr) with a $45 minimum and a $5 file set-up fee. If Graphic Design services are required, the rate is $90/hr. All amounts are subject to tax.

For Custom orders (ex. etching onto your products, and etching / cutting services not listed on our website, please send us an email with your project information to connect@junctiongorelaser.com For Products listed on our website, you can submit an order online by adding items into your cart and checking out when completed.

Yes, we offer safe, curbside pick-up from our location in the Alta Vista area of Ottawa, Ontario. You just need to set up the timing with us beforehand!

Yes, and the cost of doing so will be explained in the product or bundle description and made clear to you prior to ordering. Some shipping exceptions may apply.
